Mechatronics & Automation Lab

Location: Room No. 020, Block VI

Faculty Incharge:Dr. Andriya Narasimhulu

Staff: Mr. Gautam Singh

About the Lab:

This lab was conceptualized and developed during the 1997-1998 academic session in order to provide the students with knowledge and hands-on experience in the area of computer integrated manufacturing. The objective of the this lab is to make the students industry-ready, and to acquire employability skill with the knowledge of CNC programming using G & M codes, and cutting path generation through 3D simulation software.

Metrology & Quality Control Lab

Location: Room No. 220, Block VI

Faculty Incharge: Dr. Swati Gangwar

Staff: Mr. Rakesh Kumar

The study of measurement is a basic requirement in any field of science and technology, most importantly in engineering and manufacturing. The lab deals with the calibration of gauges and measurement of various geometrical features of developed materials (homogeneous and non-homogeneous), and their morphological analysis. The lab aims to enforce, validate and verify predefined standards for traceability, accuracy, reliability, and precision.

Hardware Facilities:

  • Callipers and Micrometers (Vernier and Normal)
  • Snap Gauges and Plug Gauges
  • Floating Carriage Micrometer
  • Height Gauge
  • Comparators
  • Bevel Projectors
  • Profile Projectors
  • Toolmakers Microscope (Image J)
  • Bench Centre
  • Surface Plate
  • Sine Bar with Slip Gauges
